Registration

Bulk registration is an option for SHPE chapters that are paying for 5 or more registration fees with a university/college check, money order, or credit card. There is no discount for bulk registrations. Please note that your submission may take up to 24 hours to process during business hours. Once we receive and process your request, an invoice will be issued for payment by Finance. The promotional code is sent to the requester once payment is received and processed by the Finance Department. This could take up to 24 hours during business hours. When payment is confirmed with registration, the requester will receive the bulk code for your group, and then your chapter will be able to register for the event using a single promotional code that must be distributed to your group upon receipt.

 It is the responsibility of the requester to distribute the code to the members.

All codes must be used to register no later than 72 hours prior to the start of the event. Any code that is not used by the start of the event will be forfeited and no refund will be issued.

Registration cancellations will be refunded up to 2 weeks prior to the conference, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations requests after 2 weeks are non-refundable.

An attendee may be substituted at any time, within the same chapter, up to 1 week before the conference start date. After that date and time, substitutions will not be accepted. SHPE does not permit the transfer of registration from one party to another.

Yes! These conferences are open to all members from all over the country. You are welcome to attend any (or all) of the three conferences.

You will have access to all scheduled events listed on the agenda, including workshops, networking sessions, company showcase participation, and more!

SHPE intentionally makes our offerings as affordable as possible. We stand behind the offerings we provide the Familia. There is a 10% discount for Lifetime Members and Advisors are complimentary. E-mail [email protected] for the discount code.

General Questions

Yes! We have created a Word template that you can download, fill in, and submit to your employer to request their support.

It is recommended to dress in business attire on Friday and business casual on Saturday. While there will not be a career fair during LeaderSHPE Live, you will still have the opportunity to network and engage with sponsors (companies, universities, and government agencies) during a Sponsor Showcase as well as meet with peers during the workshops and networking time.

Please proceed to the registration area with your registration email. It will have your QR code to scan and print your badge.

We suggest you bring something to take notes on for the workshops, a positive attitude, and any other SHPE gear you would love to showcase. 

SHPE always adheres to local, state, and federal CDC guidelines for COVID protocols.  We do not currently require testing or vaccination to be onsite but that is subject to change as guidelines change.

Masks are strongly encouraged when numbers are elevated.  We will have masks onsite for those who would like to wear one if they choose to.  We respect everyone’s choice and do not discriminate.

Wash your hands frequently.

Lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided at no additional cost on Friday only. Sessions will wrap up by noon on Saturday.

Water stations will be available in the conference rooms, bring your water bottles to stay hydrated.

Coffee will be provided in the morning on both days.

Attendees will be put in small groups and will visit a sponsor table (company, university, government agency) for a set time frame to learn more about the company and what they have to offer. Once the bell rings, groups will move to the next sponsor’s table. The last 30 minutes of the Sponsor Showcase will allow attendees to visit any sponsors with whom they would like to have additional conversations.   

The goal of the Sponsor Showcase is to allow you time to learn more about the companies and speak to the industry professionals so you can build your network. Get to know them and allow them to get to know you. The expectation isn’t for this event to be like a career fair where you would be handing out your resume to everyone, but we encourage you to have some on hand to showcase your work or alignment with a person or company you meet. You could also bring business cards (in hand or digitally) to share. Don’t forget to update your LinkedIn profile as well!

Sponsor / Exhibitor FAQ

You will be able to set up your table on Friday from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. Teardown can begin after the second session.  If you need additional arrangements, please email [email protected] with your request to see if we can accommodate it with the venue.

You will have 1 six-foot table with linen on it, 1 small trash can, and you can have a tabletop or small pop-up display behind or next to your table.  Please restrict your display to your area as we have limited space.  You are encouraged to bring swag or giveaway items or flyers about your company/organization for attendees.  We estimate 300-400 attendees at full capacity for these in-person events.  If you have any further questions, please email [email protected].

Attendees will be split into two groups, so there will be two Sponsor Showcase sessions. This Sponsor Showcase will differ from traditional career fairs. The event will feature a facilitated “circle around the track” for the first 60 minutes where every exhibitor will have the opportunity to meet with subgroups of students to introduce the company and talk at a high-level what their talent needs are. Each subgroup will visit with your company for 5-10 minutes (exact duration will be determined by how many exhibitors attend) before rotating to the next station. The intent is for every student to meet every exhibitor at least once and not miss a potential opportunity; this also ensures that you as the exhibitor will connect with each student and not just those that approach your table. After the rotational portion of the Sponsor Showcase, there will be an additional 30 minutes for traditional tabling so students can follow up with specific exhibitors.

Yes! An email will be sent out no later than two weeks prior to the event with shipping information for the hotel. If you need to ship something sooner, please e-mail [email protected] with your request. You will also be required to provide return shipping labels and arrangements.  SHPE is not responsible for that.  We will have shipping tape for you but we do not arrange for return shipping.
