My journey as a first-generation student and SHPE member was shaped by challenges that strengthened my resilience and leadership. Through part of SHPE-UIUC’s executive board, I developed skills in communication, collaboration, and managing large-scale initiatives. These experiences taught me how to lead with purpose and adaptability. Now, I am fully prepared to use those skills to support Region 6 chapters by providing guidance, sharing resources, and empowering others to overcome obstacles like I once did.
