As someone who discovered SHPE only in college, I understand the importance of early awareness and access. Growing up as a first-generation student taught me resilience and the value of community support. My leadership roles at the local and regional levels have prepared me to expand SHPE’s reach, ensuring younger students know about the opportunities SHPE offers and feel empowered to pursue STEM careers.
