As a first generation college student, I did not have mentorship or participate in events that spark interests in STEM opportunities, which is why I’m passionate about creating them for others. Every event I’ve led has reinforced the direct impact in our Region – hearing parents and students say, “No sabia que habia hispanos en ingenieria,” reminds me why this work matters. I hope to empower the community across Region 1 to pursue degrees in STEM.
