What do you do for SHPE in 25 words or fewer?
Support SHPE’s mission by managing Finance, IT, HR, and Contracting.
What was your first job?
I worked as a bus-girl and waitress starting at age 14.
I design strategies and integrated solutions for supporting and celebrating Hispanic success in engineering, technology, science, and mathematics, and research SHPE’s impact.
I was a waitress at “Broasted Chicken” in Miami, OK. I wish the restaurant was still there. The chicken was amazing!
I have the great honor to lead the Engagement office. Within my direction sits members, chapters operations, events, and philanthropy. I get to stand in the gap for all our members.
I would want to be part of the Blackish family. The Johnson are hilarious, real, vulnerable and give a fresh perspective of families of color and success. The topics they addressed are real life and connectable.
I currently serve as the Chief Executive Officer at SHPE where we are devoted to closing the gap between Hispanics and STEM.
The Incredibles – We all have our own unique super powers! And, as a family, those super powers are unstopable when all working together in harmony.
